Our story

A corner slice shop, done the old way.

Vero started as a Sunday-night habit: friends crowded around a home oven, arguing about char and cheese pull. In 2019 we took the argument to 214 Court Street, fired up a seasoned deck oven, and opened the door to the block.

Vero means “true.” So we keep it honest — dough fermented for two days, tomatoes from San Marzano, mozzarella pulled every morning, and nothing on the menu we wouldn’t feed our own family.
